Small talk at Lunch

S: Are you from Myanmar.
T: Yes, I am! How do you know that?

S: I have heard the Burmese talking. So I recognize the accent. The other day, I met with some when I went to a hospital too.
T: I see.

S: Are you being here for long?
T: Yes, I am, for quite some time. I've been working here for six years.

T: How about you? Are you here for a visit?
S: No, I'm not. I'm a local here, with hat. :)

T: Oh, really! I thought you are from Europe visiting here.
S: No. :)

S: So you know Aung San Sukyi has already become a president?
T: Hmm, no, not yet. The election will be in next year.

S: But she has many supporters.
T: Yes, she does.

S: Are you feeling lonely after you finished your work here?
T: Urm, no, I'm not. I am OK to stay alone too.

S: By the way, you know, the Singapore speaking standard is very bad.
T: Hmm, what standard do you mean? (I didn't hear the word speaking)

S: Speaking English. They are speaking very bad, you know. People from other countries do set and follow the standard.

T: Hmm, may be they want to add some uniquely.
S: Nah, they are just becoming rude.

S: OK, we've gotta go now. Nice talking to you. See you.
T: Nice talking to you too. See you around.

River safari #2

R: Thet, have you booked for the river safari?
T: nope, I haven't. I thought it is not nice. Is it nice?

R: yes, it is. But when I went there, I couldn't take the boat. Now it should be ready.
T: oh great, I'll try to go there then.

R: yeah, you will see the sea animals, then crocodiles and the pandas. And you know, panadas they eat a lot. First, they eat handful of food, then go around just for a while, then eat again.
T: haha, they must be very cute.

R: yes, they are.
T: can they be seen clearly? I mean are they close enough to the walkway?

R: yes, they are. You can see then pretty clearly.
T: OK, great! I'll go there soon. Thanks.

Day 1

1.
K: Hey Thet, do you know something? In Qatar, our colleague, Berry got thrown with the stones for wearing the tank top.

T: Oh my god! Did she get hurt?

K: No, she could run back in the apartment and wore another layer. She was fine.

T: Thank god.

2.
J: Hey Ah Thet, I wanna ask you something. I cannot print from my computer. I've already connected to office network. But another thing is that I connected to LAN cable and the wireless.

T: Oh yeah, I think your computer gets the address from wireless so you cannot print. You should use only LAN or Wireless at a time.

J: Oh I see, so it's just either or.

T: Yup.

J: OK, Thank you, Thet!

T: You're welcome!
